Useless fact before lunch

searose is contemplating the writing still in front of here, and kixxa just posted her Rygelicious epic. There are stories in the works all around, and I'm excited about all of them, and I'm feeling snippy because I wanted the third installment of Robyn Bender's Talyn series for my smut fix, and those pesky real lives/computers seem to be interfering, so I decided to mindlessly count up how many words and pages of Blue Eyes I've written (I didn't personally count them - it's one of my favorite features on the newest versions of MS word, word and page count as you go):

Words: 60,434

Pages: (10 pt. font, Times, space and a half) - 112.

Hmm. Thought it would have been more.

Also, someone told that amok was a Portuguese word. Anyone know if this is true?
