One of my co-workers is apparently a Firefly fanboy:) He's giving Serenity to people in my office as a Christmas present.

I don't actually know who he is because I don't know everyone's name, but he's giving it to the people who are on the outside of my cube and goes in and gives the pitch to them and hands them the DVD. It's cracking me up. (He's hit about 3 offices so far:)

It makes me feel like I know something that everyone else doesn't:)

Finished - mostly - my Christmas shopping. And I didn't kill anyone at the Beverly Center. That in of itself is a minor miracle.

Splurged and bought myself the new Starburst edition because my beginning of Season 3 DVD's have been MIA for a year and I've no idea who has 'em (and odds are it's one of two ex-boyfriends and frankly, they can keep them). I just... I love the beginning of Season 3. Well, I love all of it, but the run of SOD through Different Destinations is, weirdly enough, comfort viewing for me. And I never, never lose that gushy romantic feeling of seeing Crichton and Aeryn reunited, the rawness of that in the snow, and then the kiss at the end of Season of Death. I'm an utter sap, I understand this completely, but it's also beautifully done, these subtle shifts of expression, movement, hesitation, and desperation. There's a reason I'm still an utter fangirl for this show.

I'm also talking myself into writing some Mitchell/Daniel gen because really, the prospect of Mitchell in the crowded Barnes and Noble by the Citadel, drinking overpriced coffee and staring at leadership books is just too much to resist.

I, for one, am very, very interested in seeing some of that Mitchell Daniel gen funness. Yes indeedy.

I have two things to finish first, though:)

Hee - he's so excited about it though:) However, I don't know who he is because I just hear his voice.

Do not, under any circumstances, hold your breath on this one!

*reiterates my earlier begging, pleading, etc.*

Even if you just end up writing Mitchell/Barnes&Noble, that's just such an irresistable image.

(And now I'm wondering how Daniel handles his academic reading needs. Are they running interlibrary loans through the local university? Does the USAF have special programs for requisitioning really obscure academic tomes that can't be found on abe.com? Forget following the money, will the Stargate program finally be revealed when someone follows the books?)

Thus certifying Rydra's brilliance. I tried to add that to the fic I just wrote, but it's far too clever:)

It's like the calm before the storm. I feel the same way.

Are there any new commentaries for the first part of S3?

Nope, sadly. Just the same one for Wait for the Wheel. If I'd still had my DVD's, I'd have refrained from purchasing.

And yeah, despite Zhaan's death, despite the fact that things just keep getting worse, I know that it's going to get much worse, and I love how losing Zhaan forces them to shift their attention, to analyze their behavior. How many mistakes they make. It's so well done.

um,actually, Guy Gross(Farscape composer) does a commentary track for Eat Me. I don't think that one was on the first run of DVD.

You shop at the Beverly Center? How can you stand that place? All the teenybopper wannabes... I once got lost in there. I think somewhere around the movie theatre. Or maybe it was that cracked out parking lot. I love that Chipotle though.

Although I was no better. Typically shopped at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica by my house. That was tourist hell.

Anyway, I forgot you lived in LA. I just moved from there not too long ago. Congratulations on surviving the shopping. In LA, that should go on your resume.

I HATE the Beverly Center! HATE IT. Unfortunately, my mother asked for exactly one thing for Christmas, and every place else was sold out.

The only physical fight I was ever in danger of getting into happened in that parking structure!
