itsallovernowKoddiakeMax's In the Company of Ghosts is being reposted on Kansas. For the three people who've seen through Season 3 and haven't read this, go, now, drop everything and read it. For the newbies who are getting everything in order, in about two months, you have an extaordinary treat in front of you.
This is an astonshing piece of fiction, fandom related or not. It's got dynamic pacing, intriguing characters, strong, coherent plot and it makes your whole body ache. It's also really frelling long and how Max managed to keep everything straight, steady and on target is something I don't understand, but do little offerings for when I remember. The comment about length is not at all a complaint. It never feels wordy or over-written. It doesn't drag or lose it's momentum. Every word is worthwhile.

Mind the Baby was on last night - although I cheated and watched the DVD instead of the broadcast because I love my DVD's. Aeryn torn between duties - to herself, to John and D'Argo, to Talyn - and torn between Crais' manipulations and doing what she knows is right. These are conflicts that will continue to tear at her. Gotta love making your heroine suffer in unlikely ways. I am also such a sucker for D'Argo.
