If someone were to make me a Notorious icon, say of Alicia and Dev kissing outside the wine cellar, or perhaps of her being carried out of the house, I could perhaps arrange some fic as a prezzy, or at the very least virtual kisses or virtual shimmies. And if such an icon of the first image were to be made, it could perhaps say, Evil Comes in Wine Bottles? which I have blatantly stolen from [livejournal.com profile] rubberneck. I would be so profoundly beyond grateful.

Yes, I know that someday I will have to dive into the wonder that is Photoshop, but y'all know that getting things to post right is a major challenge for me:) Icons just scare the crap out of me.

I rarely listen to this Sparklehorse CD, but I love it muchly. However, there's nothing that can ruin a great CD like associations with bad dates.

And why yes, the little fangirl in me did just so channel Sallah and the poor little dead monkey. Hee, played my writing mix CD at the gym and there are quotes between songs, and I'm going along on the elliptical trainer and I hear, "Asps, very dangerous. You go first." and then, "It's a weird universe out there, man, You don't know that 'cause your spending all of your time indoors." I almost fell off the machine I was laughing so hard. I need better workout music:)

Mmmm. That's so yummy. I love that scene, the revolving camera work, putting you off balance, shifting your perspective. You do such marvelous work:)

What with you and feldman and all the others who keep referencing this movie, I'm gonna have to see it or feel unutterably uncultured.

Hm. I did see it a long time ago, and do not feel the love.

I was ultra obsessive about old movies as an early adolescent and it just never went away. My dad would rent all sorts of things for me to see, and I just fell in love with the whole era. The Hitchcock obsession was a huge part of that:)

Notorious was one of those movies that just caught me utterly. It's very adult, very sneaky, sexual and clever, and you remain uncertain about the happy ending until the very end, and she's just utterly fearless. It's tense and beautifully filmed and ambiguous, and I just adore it.

It's an amazing movie. Very 1940's, with Ingrid Bergman and Carrie Grant, and spies and sex and intrigue. It's a Hitchcock movie, so suspense and ambiguity are also a big part of it.

And, it's on DVD now:) It's my favorite of his movies of this era, and I'm a huge fan, so even having a favorite was a tough call:)

Ack! Due to correction of a mortifying misspelling, your previous icon has been replaced:

Feldman, that is beyond fantastic:) It would be gorgeous without the text, and with it, it's just stunning. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Any prezzies you'd like in return? (I had an awful desire to write Notorious fic last night, but I'm not sure that'd count as a prezzy:)

And the Chiarascuro icon (mmm, that's lovely, lovely work as well:)
