Gettin' not a hell of a lot done

Because we've been a little slow at work (no really?), and I've been working on this presentation for one of my (non work) clients, my boss has decided to have me do the PowerPoint presentation of our services to present to our clients.

This is kind of neat, in the, something different category. I love my job, but I can waste a substantial amount of time online when I am unoccuppied. I like to have new challenges and I'm good at presenting information. And hopefully, it will lead to new clients and more writing. We cleaned yesterday. That was dusty and I'd like to return to my role as writer/editor.

We also had pizza and beer for lunch. Is it any wonder I'm having a hell of a time looking elsewhere for employment as a writer?

I'm dedicating the weekend to edits and rewrites. I need time and space and quiet. But I will also be doing some strategizing for the_sporkys:) And if you haven't signed up because you aren't particularly interested in Farscape smut, we'd be happy to come up with crossover categories, as well as Smut Lite (or as pktechgirlus called it, The Big Tease. Come play. Believe me, the icons themselves are worth it. 'Specially if sorlklewis can pull of that John/John's Right Hand icon:)

Also, anyone up for doing a short beta on my Femslash piece? It needs a boost of some sort, and I'm not sure that it works?

Ooh. Maybe I'll join, then. I've really wanted to join ever since you started talking about it, but I figured I wasn't really qualified, since I still can't really read the sex scenes without blushing. But then again, I do read a lot of NC-17 fics. I just sort of... skip the raciest scenes, most of the time.

God. I'm so repressed, aren't I. I can just hear myself -- "I read porn stories for the plot! Honest!" *g*

Still, it's true. Maybe I'm really not qualified for this...
