But I finished the next chapter of Blue Eyes (typed that is, I'm even wordier by hand than by keyboard and had to groan and edit as I typed). However my computer is defeating me, lacking the memory to have Word and Explorer open simultaneously and the file's too big to keep on the clipboard and leave memory open. I've e-mailed it to myself at work, so that will be activity number one tomorrow morning.

Goal #1 for the New Year is to sell a piece of writing. I have decided that if I sell something, or even get a freelance gig I can justify buying the G4 iBook which calls my name everytime I walk by the Apple store.

Saw Big Fish tonight, which I adored, and wept through, and went to Amoeba and gave into the lure of Tom McRae thanks to [livejournal.com profile] saava and [livejournal.com profile] themoonbar. I'm thankful for my lack of willpower, yes I am as I've played Just Like Blood three times through already.

I have much to discuss and ponder, including my viewing of the first season of Homicide and books that were read and things that were watched, and Farscape thoughts, and signing up for [livejournal.com profile] double_helix's femslash ficathon, even though there are really only three fandoms I could even shake a stick at and have only written semislash, but I like a challenge, and would like to rework an old drabble anyway.

Goal #2 is obviously to finish Blue Eyes, and terrifyingly enough, I see this unfolding and happening. It makes my stomach ache, though.

I have much to catch up on as well, things to read, things to respond to, people to harass:) Yes, you know who you are!

Ooh, you got Tom! And you didn't even have to special order it, huh? I haven't been able to find it anywhere but online because it's an import. I can usually find his first CD, but Just Like Blood is hard to find.

I'm glad you like it!

I really liked it. I'd listened to most of the other CD in various music stores, and have a couple of his songs on other compilations, but I was being wishy washy. However, Just Like Blood is fantastic and I will be buying the other album.

(It was an import at Amoeba which is a huge music store and cost more than I should have paid, but I'm a music whore and it was worth every penny. The last import I bought was Damien Rice and I've practically worn that out:)

Oh, I so want to see this movie...thanks for the tissue warning though.

My viewing of the first season of Homicide...
Oh, I would so like to watch those on DVD. It's been so long. I loved that show.

Yay...more Blue Eyes...off to read now. :)

Yeah, I really liked the first season of Homicide. I'd never seen it before and it really is remarkable. A little surreal since I just read the book, though:) (That's what inspired me to buy the DVD's).
