ETA: If any of these links don't go where they're supposed to I apologize. I'm fixing them now.,
Because Farscape is happily sucking in new viewers, and because [livejournal.com profile] double_helix was trying to decide whether or not to read Farscape fic, here is a brief list of good first season fic. I'm probably leaving many great stories off, but these are one's that I remember off the top of my head. Assume spoilers for all of season one, although that's not actually the case for most of these stories. I remember them, probably because their takes on the first season are honest and thoughtful and not always what you'd expect:

KoddiakeMax
That Which Does Not Kill Us
Down Along A Barrel of A Gun

Brilliant looks at how and why John picks up a gun.

Maayan
Asystole
Post A Hidden Memory, NC-17

Fialka
Between the Stars

Post A Human Reaction

Anna S.
Actually, I think the first Farscape piece she posted, which was post A Human Reaction was in her lj.

Cofax - A series of Dislocations corresponding to [livejournal.com profile] melymbrosia's Outcast. All of Cofax's stories are here.

Both authors offer incredible glances at who these characters really are.

Searose - It's mostly at Kansas.
Playing with Food
Human Reactions(NC-17)

I love Searose's work, not only because she beta'd my story, but because she has great insight and is unflinching. I'd have to say that Human Reactions is my favorite take on what happened on the false earth because it rings truest for me.

Debby Wayfarer's At Night
Post A Hidden Memory. Getting John back on his feet.

Christina Kamnikar and Perri Smith Re-Evolution.

Things really aren't all that rosy at the end of DNA Mad Scientist.

Good list. You've got some wonky code going there, though, you might want to fix.

I swear to god, I'm always this close with the frelling coding. Almost everything works right, but not exactly right. Aargh. The Leviathan links seem fine. The rest is TBA.
Sorry,
Thea

No problem. And Searose is a terrific writer, as are all of the people listed, but since most of her stuff is at Kansas - which is a posting board - it sometimes gets overlooked. Enjoy! Once you get past the first two seasons and the spoiler fears are abated a little, there is a wealth of excellent fic out there. Cofax and Maayan also have rec sites that really have culled the best of the best to guide you through.
