Do you think they'll notice...

If I keep the rental car and just don't go pick up the Saturn? The rental's an automatic, which makes it lose points, but it doesn't need a new radiator or a new water pump and is currently in my possession which makes it very attractive. But I guess they'd probably notice, and lawyer's fees would probably run me a lot more than $900. But this officially means I'm not going to Morrocco, unless the Lottery Gods shine on me or I get off my ass and start freelancing. Because, hell, who needs hobbies when you can work 12 hours a day. Sigh. Why yes, I'm feeling sorry for myself. How could you tell.
On a positive note,
whitelight1 set me up with the Futurama mood theme and I installed it correctly and love it muchly. Thank you dear.
And thanks to everyone who sent me challenge suggestions. I'm definitely going to answer them, and even running them through my brain jump started the next chapter of Blue Eyes, which is all for the good, and of course, this means that I've got a ton of stuff to do at work and don't have time to write. And for the record, lawyers should never be allowed to edit text. Ever. Ever, ever.
Good luck to
apathocles on her thesis. I had insomnia while I wrote mine and stayed up all night baking when I couldn't right. The chocolate pound cake was a hit, the Armenian crackers not so much. Let's just say that baking involves a level of precision that I don't normally bring into the kitchen with me. I consider cooking an improv art form. Recipes are for wusses:) That attitude doesn't work so well with baking:)
I've got nothing fannish to say, except for more expressions of Leo love, and Ainsley. She's blond, she's Republican, and I just really like her. She's such a creation - even more idealized than Sorkin's Democrats, but she's such a nice foil.

That's right, cooking is alchemy, but baking is a science. I've found that there are certain things I do know how to bake and bake well, others...let's say you could use them when building a stone house. *g*

Date: 2003-09-30 01:58 pm (UTC)The car thing - it just bites. It's inevitable, but it sucks. So thanks very much, and at least i no longer have to do the seasonal overhaul dance or worry about rust and salt corrosion.

Date: 2003-09-30 06:30 pm (UTC)You know I've been having nearly the same conversation with myself. My car has been in the body shop the last couple days for some cosmetic surgey to repair the damage done in the rear-ending and I've been driving a fire-engine red Ford Focus. The minuses to this: It's fire-engine red. And it's front wheel drive. I'm not used to front-wheel drive and the brakes feel very squirrely to me. The pluses: It has a working air conditioner and a tape player. No channel surfing in search of tunes. And did I mention the air conditioning?
