LJ seems to be having some issues this morning. It finally let me log on, but it won't let me see all of the posts since Friday, and it also won't always let me read the cut posts on certain entries. That is fascinating, especially since I'm in my typical Monday morning, not quite coherent stage and instead of being angry, just feel very confused.
Weekend was, well, a weekend. I had a great ballet class and a great Krav Maga class and now my knee hurts like a sonofabitch. That's generally the result, though. Played poker on Saturday night, all of those silly people and they're wild cards. There aren't wild cards in poker.
I took a break from writing after a huge fight with the woman at SBC who wouldn't tell me what was going on with my internet hookup because I didn't have the phone bill or M.'s SSN. I didn't realize she was going to put the service that I signed up for, and am paying for, on the phone bill, especially considering I used my name and credit card. I completely lost my temper and said some very rude things, but she was a moron. So, in other words, I'm still internet free at home. This must change.
Ooh, I did see Pirates of the Caribbean. I think I was the only person in the theater with a sense of humor because I was giddy and giggly all the way through, though it could have just been the eye candy.
And I finished Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett. Everyone in the world has read Pratchett, and I am relatively new to him. I liked the word play, the Macbeth references and other Shakespeare riffs, and the idea of the power of words - using them, hearing them, manipulating them and flipping them around to suit your purpose, that belief in the words is often more important than that to which they refer.
And I'm dancing tonight, although I haven't made my CD. Let us all hope that my silver costume doesn't decide to come apart. I really have no intention of exposing myself to the audience, but I hate to sew and pretty much looked at the costume and said, meh, it'll be okay. I have been known to regret those words before.

Date: 2003-07-28 12:28 pm (UTC)Hope dancing goes well. Loved, loved, loved the latest chapters of Blue Eyes and am totally signing on for the beta crew once you're ready to set your baby free. The last line in 11 was particularly good. Heheheh.
Hmmm, not much else to say, lj and my work e-mail are both fucking me around, contributing to general monday-ness. Grrr. Arrrgh. Hope your day improves.
Oh, and wasn't JD a hoot? Gosh, talk about swash-buckling. Or maybe that should be 'swish' buckling. Keith Richards as pirate, bloody brilliant. And yes, very funny.

Date: 2003-07-28 01:03 pm (UTC)Lj is totally making me crazy today, posts disappear, comments won't go through, the database keeps being unavailablle. I want my crack to be instantly accesible!!
And you do realize that you are now committed to helping with beta once this beast is done :)(I think I'm a little over the halfway mark). And I'm glad you liked the latest chapters, it's been a relief to see that they worked for other people.
Hope things are going well aside from the Mondayness.
