Lazy, Oh So Lazy
Sep. 3rd, 2007 12:05 amThings I Have Done Today:
1. Brunch. Mmmm brunch. Brunch followed this conversation:
"You have nothing to do today? No teaching? No dancing? No commitments? No nothing?"
"Nope. I have absolutely nothing to do and nowhere to be today."
"I... don't think I have an appropriate response to that."
"Brunch? That's an appropriate response."
(It's sort of a miracle that I could even eat brunch considering I ate an entire cow's worth of burrata yesterday. Cheese the size of my head with these amazing heirloom tomatoes and slices of hard, tart peach -it was supposed to be peach. It tasted like crisp apple, so I've got no real idea. Regardless, it was amazing. And so good that the tuna tartare I'd also ordered went to waste because I needed to eat my body weight in fresh mozzerela.)
But mmm. Brunch, for which I'm very rarely either awake or avaiable at the same time.
2. Exhibit at LACMA. Southern California Art from the 1960's and 70's. Ranging from interesting to excellent with a stellar collection of light installations at the end that kicked the ass of the Dan Flavin exhibit we saw a few months ago.
3. Lounged on the couch for 6 hours watching CSI until the cable went out. I... meant to move. I meant to be productive. I meant to write, or watch a movie. Or do something. Instead, I watched hours of CSI and surfed LJ. And now, since the cable came back, I'm watching "10 Things I Hate About You" which is a total guilty pleasure.
All in all, it makes me looooooove Labor Day even more.
Plus, I have recovered from my waxing adventure and am reconsidering the once in a lifetimeness of it.
Hope y'all are enjoying the weekend.
