First of all, thanks so much for the birthday wishes!! Because they made me so very happy, I will not even whine that no one wrote me porn because there were many well wishes for the porn to happen, so I figure all that universal happiness about porn will eventually result in some falling from the sky for me:)

Seriously though, I was having a low day, and knowing that people were wishing me well quite turned that around for me.

So in that spirit, happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] monkeyfromhell, happy today birthday to [livejournal.com profile] raithen, and happy almost birthday to [livejournal.com profile] cretkid.

New issue of SMRT-TV is up, and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] veritykindle, I was able to write about Life on Mars. The column is mostly squee, with a small helping of meta, and a dash of post-modern exploration. But mostly girlish squee. (And dude, speaking of meta and post-modern, why did no one tell me, when I got a little burned out after "Wolves of the Calla", that "Song of Susannah" is totally a geeky, long time Steven King fan, English major writer's wet dream of a post-modern concept. I join the critics in the FU, Steven!! I do, I do!).

The fabulous [livejournal.com profile] rubberneck has totally drunk the Kool-Aid and wants SGA slash recs. Plot optional, blow-jobs preferred. Go help her out!

And in the interests of pleasing the porn gods, anyone inclined to write good, smutty Veronica Mars fic for my [livejournal.com profile] crankygrrl would be much appreciated, because I sure as hell won't, and I'm hoping she'll finally finish my LGM pron if she gets her own fix.

I have been 32 for two days. In that time I have killed or screamed at 0 dancers. So far this week, I win.

Totally irrational moment of the week though: I desperately want a baby. Everyone who knows me in RL knows this, my mother not the least of which, and yesterday she was taking great pains to remind me that it's not like buying a puppy or a kitten. One must have a stable income and home environment to offer said super cute baby. I'm fairly sure she thought I was going to look one up on the internet and have it shipped to me, which is apparently also M.s mindset as he warned me that it couldn't live in our house because, "I'll just end up taking care of it, and if the cats get out and get run over, that'd be terrible, but it'd be much worse if super cute baby escapes and gets hit by a car."

I'm a responsible pet owner. The same would extend to a kid. It's not like I'm gonna leave it on the floor with a bowl of food and water and some newspapers! But it probably is a good thing I can't buy a kid on the internet.

Hee - totally laugh at it. My mom is halfway between hysteria and fear:)

Yay! I'm so glad you liked Life on Mars! (Not that I had any doubt that you would... :) )

Also, *cough* happy very belated birthday! I'm absolutely horrible when it comes to birthdays, I'm afraid... I'm sorry it's taken me so long to wish you a happy one.

Well, better late than never, I guess. (*tries not to cringe at the thought of how many birthdays I *have* missed, lately...*) *hugs* I hope you have a great birthmonth!

*hugs you tight* There have been times lately when I've thought about what it might be like to have kids of my own. But then I remind that unlike you, I've never even been responsible for any pets, and all the plants I have tried to take care of have died rather quickly, and then I content myself to being a good doting aunt to my niece and nephew, and try to content myself with that.

Dude! There will be birthday pron. It just got put on hold because my brain doesn't have the capacity to stress about potential new apartment and interview for a job I actually want to keep AND write pron at the same time.

'specially since you don't want VM pron, which is currently self-germinating.

Sadly no VM porn. Although I wouldn't mind your stab at the porn we were speaking of earlier!!

And yeah for the apt. and job interview!

It's such a good thing for everyone! I get late-night eBay cravings; just imagine what Wrong Things could happen if I could buy a babaaaaay.
