Mar. 17th, 2006 11:17 amStill 75% deaf. It becomes less charming by the moment. I feel like I'm underwater, watching all of these things going on, but cut off from them through lack of penetrating sound. I can hear music, and I can hear my brain, and that's about it, clarity wise.
Grrr.
Because I was negligent and forgot to mention it at the beginning of the week, there's a new SMRT-TV up with the usual collection of interesting takes on the world of televsion.
My weekend looks to be work based - freelance project, finishing the Remix, snagging a beta for said Remix, working for another client. Bangs head on desk. I just want to hide until I can hear the world again.
Happy St. Patrick's Day, BTW. Wish I had anything insightful to say, fannish or otherwise, but I'm pretty self-involved at this moment. Oh, there is new Dr. Who on scifi, for those who haven't seen it yet and I highly recommend it. (If you've never seen Dr. Who, just bear in mind that the F/X are BBC quality, and therefore ludicrous and hilarious and always have been, and yet the show has always been effective anyway because the writing is sparkling and witty and Christopher Eccleston is just fabulous).
My 10th year college reunion is in June and I'm currently doing the dance of must fix everything that's wrong with my life in three months so I have something to show for the time away from my college when all my dear friends will be bringing their children and spouses and careers and houses to the bench to display, while I have a decided lack of said things. I'd love to be able to offer up something - a story sold to a magazine, a new job, a better than average ass (shut up, I'm shallow and it's college - you want to look good for those nice earnest boys that you fooled around with when you were 18), something aside from my charming personality:)
Sigh. I've officially become a sitcom cliche.
