Last night, as a Valentine's treat to myself, I went to Best Buy to purchase the Cary Grant boxset and the next set of Starburst editions since the DVD's loaned to the ex contained GEM and Losing Time and Relativity, which I haven't seen in over a year.

The Cary Grant set is beautiful and I spent a lot of time just petting it when I got home. It came with some vintage postcards and I think I'll matte the Holiday ones.

I watched figure skating while indulging in some much welcome chat/snark with [livejournal.com profile] cofax7 on YIM. The outfits crack me up, and then I can turn to [livejournal.com profile] denyeverything1 to explain the skating. Despite what I've read, I can think of no good reason for that very - I believe someone used to oh so appropriate word 'fey' - young man to dress like a swan. However, after the one gloved James Bond/Waiter/Penguin boy and Mr. Lite Brite, the swan seemed sort of... tame.

To all those who took "EvOl Fic Conspiracy" icons, just as a point of reference, the image is an inkstand and quill pen in front of a stack of scrolls. Not a cannon. Although I enjoy the irony of the words as a weapon concept, so feel free to consider it a cannon if you'd like. And in that vein, congratulations to all of The Sparky winners!!! And a big thank you to Jeff and Cass for running the show this final time. Your hard work was much appreciated.

I did watch "Green Eyed Monster" post skating and well... I'm just so terribly fond of it. Tiny Spoilers for GEM, in case it's possible to spoil anyone )

And sigh, Gilmore Girls is just making me sad these days. I don't know how much more of it I can take.
