shaye is fond of No One is Really Beautiful, and really, if you don't have this album, you should. He has a new, non-commercial album out called Sarah. You can buy it here. I haven't heard it yet, but will probably buy it next week when we go see him and Tom McRae at Hotel Cafe. There are reasons I love this city. This is one of them (or two of them, I should say:)
Hee, editing is progressing much more swiftly now. And, hopefully,suelac who is trying to instill the skills of world building in me instead of my normal but this is how I see it so it's clear to everyone approach, will appreciate this. Sitting in the bathtub last night, reading Night Watch, I sat up and said, "I don't want it to be the size of the White House, I want it to be the size of the Pentagon. Is the Pentagon that big? I want it to be really, really big!!" (It being the palace compound from LATP:) So while my world building is maybe not so detail oriented, at least it's being pushed in the right direction.
Also, those of you, and you are legion, who have read more Pratchett than I have, can you give me some reccs? I loved Good Omens, giggled through Wyrd Sisters, and have really, really been loving Night Watch. So what should I read next?
Oh, also,themonkeycabal has promised a pretty hat to anyone who can put "I'm a controlling, glory hogging, thunder stealing, fascist dictator" on an icon for her. I know there have to be takers out there up to the challenge:) I think Red probably needs something to make her giggle right about now:)
