Writing meme
Nov. 4th, 2004 03:04 pmI love this.
Stolen from various and sundry, and particularly
suelac and
haphazardmethod.
If you happen to be working on some creative writing project, fanfiction or NaNoWriMo or what have you, post exactly one sentence from each of your current work(s) in progress in your journal. It should probably be your favourite or most intriguing sentence so far, but what you choose is entirely your discretion. Mention the title (and genre) if you like, but don't mention anything else. This is merely to whet the general appetite for your forthcoming work(s).
Novel - Cold in the Clearing
Breath and steps and the slap of packs against flat spines - it all sounded cool and firm to her, like music from the radio on Sunday mornings and she wanted to remember those sounds, this day.
Untitled SciFi Story
She hasn’t left much of herself with Jinx the last few years, and she’s tempted to let him keep the remnants of their failures.
Untitled Ghost Story
She was crisp in the hall like fall air and red apples, sweet tart, his sweetheart looking down on him as he tucked himself in close between Moya's warm ribs.
Citrine
“Big giant weapon totin’, vile smelling, foul-mouthed baby,” Mal agrees with real affection.
Notorious crossover
When she unfurls back into her chair, her vision is blurry, starry, and she finds a form standing over her, looming, caught in the lights spilling from the signs over the bar.
Blue Eyes Sequel
He’d never been the kind of man to fill his pockets with stones and wander into the wilderness, drowning himself in absence.
Pulse Fire at the Not-So -OK Corral
He feels like the ass end of a really bad day, head throbbing, stomach churning, the smell of bile and rage on his skin, in his hair and on his clothes.
