First of all, by reading [livejournal.com profile] rubberneck's LJ. I don't quite have a label for what she's doing over there. Hear that Feldman, you're defying categorization!! And making me giggle and sweat simultaneously:)

My boy Damien Rice is going to be at the Wiltern Theater in March. I'm there. I'm so absolutely, positively stalkerishly there. That I love the venue is just an added bonus.

When we saw him this winter, he sang Woman Like a Man (

Woman Like a Man- Damien Rice

I need a piss
Wanna hate
Fuck it up
Come
My love
Eat your meat
Keep your teeth
Run
You lost me
You cost me
You thought me of me, yeah
We're bad
What we do
Stupid fools
You wanna get boned,
You wanna get stoned
You wanna get a room like no-one else
You wanna be rich
You wanna be kitch
You wanna be the bastard of yourself
You wanna get burned
You wanna get turned
You wanna get fucked inside out
You wanna be ruled
You wanna be fooled
You wanna be a woman like a man
like a, like a, like a
Woman like a man, like a man, like a woman like a man, like a man
(I'll get a cheaper ticket next time)
Woman like a man, woman like a man, like a woman like a man, woman like a man
(I'll get a cheaper ticket next time)
Woman like a man, like a man, like a woman like a man, woman like a man
(I'll get a cheaper ticket next time)
Woman like a man, like a man, like a woman like a man, like a man
(It really wasn't worth the ride)
I need a hit
Want to wait
Suck it up
Cum
my love
eat your meat
itchy feet
run
You reach me
You bleach me
You teach me of me
How familiar
We're bad
What we do
Stupid fools
You wanna get boned,
You wanna get stoned
You wanna get a room like no-one else
You wanna be rich
You wanna be kitch
You wanna be the bastard of yourself
You wanna get burned
You wanna get turned
You wanna get fucked inside out
You wanna be ruled
You wanna be fooled
You wanna be a woman like a man
like a woman, like a, like a man
Like a man
Like a man, man, man, man...
Like a man, man, man, man...
Woman like a man
Woman like a man, like a man, like a woman like a man, woman like a man

intertwined with Hallelujah. (And [livejournal.com profile] saava has links to three lovely versions of this song, although the Jeff Buckley version will always be my favorite). Is there any wonder I adore this boy? He absolutely rocked, after breaking my heart with Cold Water. Go to the website, be converted.

Also, I really love the DVD commentary thread, meme, whatever the hell it's called. I keep thinking about doing this for my fic, but really, how exciting is it to read, "Well, and at that point, all the furniture had been sullied or over used, so basically they had to do it in the chair." or, "Well, I'd already used the words suck, lick, fuck, frell and cock too many times, I needed a new adjective." or perhaps, "Wow, there's a lot of sighing, swallowing and screwing in this isn't there." Not praticularly inspiring from a literary perspective. Maybe one of the drabble's has potential;)

I'm trying to write the epilogue. The imagery isn't matching the words. I hate that. It makes me feel ineffectual, purely ineffectual. Sigh. I need to go read something bright and tasty to pull me out of this funk.

Okay...need more Damien.

And you are such a crackhead: "by this time all the furniture had been sullied." *snort*

Speaking of which, I gotta get Aeryn and John laid tonight...

The problem is that there's nothing left to buuuuuuyyyyy! Although you can download that song. How unfair is that, though, me all ready to consume and nothing left to absorb.

And I've had a long afternoon here with no one to entertain me:) I'm bouncin' off the walls.

Speaking of which, I gotta get Aeryn and John laid tonight...

And yes, yes you do!! But also rest and relaxation!

Dude, do you know there's a Dylan cover of Hallelujah out there?

Where? Where? I've never heard it. That is just wrong on so many levels - not that there's a cover, although usually he's the one being covered, but jesus, how can I not have heard that!!

On my hard drive at the moment (don't tell RIAA). Trying to send it to you would probably make Yahoo cry like a little child. Hmmm.

Oy, undoubtedly. Yahoo laughed at me when I was sending Blue Eyes out, although fortunately text isn't such a beast.

Point me to the link, I'll break the law all on my own:) I've contributed to Dylan's royalties, and most of his stuff is downloadable anyway!!

I pulled it off WinMx, so no idea where you'd find a link. =(

All right, clearly some lawbreaking is in order, as well as some hunting:) If worse comes to worse, I can beg you to send it to my office account:)

Okay, I must listen to Damien Rice. I've been trying to stop myself, but, yeah, that's not going to happen now.

Not praticularly inspiring from a literary perspective.

But very, very funny! *g*

Hee. See, lest I take myself too seriously as a writer, reality, and the content of my fic, puts me back in my place:)

And yes, really, you must listen to Damien Rice. And you'll join the addicted. And he's oh so cute, Tom McRae cute.

Oy. Damien Rice is definitely a boy I'd make out with. As if the music weren't enough, he has to be adorable and dirty all at the same time, in person.

And. You should write a commentary for Mare Tranquilis. Consider it a formal request. *g*

Good choice Shaye! I'm glad to see you'll do commentary too.

I will, eventually, but not until I'm not at an office in the middle of the room, exposed for all and sundry to see.

If I was really, really mean, I'd beg for commentary on Written on a Thumbnail, partly to accompany what I remember reading on your blog while you were writing it, but I think I'd love to see commentary on most anything from you!! I do have formal requests actually, which will be submitted when you have more time:)

And yeah for Shaye commentary!

He is just so adorable. I spent far too much of today watching the video clips from his site:)

And I will definitely take the commentary request under consideration. Actually, Mare Tranquilis and Latitude and Longitude are probably the only ones I could do decent commentary on:)

halleluja

The Jeff Buckley version made me cry when I heard it on the radio. I keep thinking someone could make a very brilliant BtVS/AtS video to this song. Not me. But someone could.
