What is it with women and change?

itsallovernowHave I mentioned that I'm not a big fan of change? For instance, although it's much prettier now, I'm not really thrilled with having to re-learn how to navigate LJ. It is an unexpected upset in my Friday. I will get over it.
However, I also unexpectedly have to go to a meeting. This suggestion comes from the same man who didn't want me to go to yesterday's meeting, which I wanted to go to and was appropriately dressed for. Who would want to take someone to a meeting who's wearing a v-neck white tank top and low cut black jeans? I am not dressed appropriately and this will embarrass me because we are going to a chichi architectural firm and they will raise eyebrows at me. Which makes me cranky.
I have also arrived upon a very important question stemming from my overwhelming viewage of scifi programming (ok, maybe not overwhelming, mostly Futurama and FS and the commercials for Stargate): why is the space/time continuum- wormholes and stargates and the like - always blue? Is this scientific, or merely pretty? And yes it is pretty.
Thing I learned from Futurama's commentaries is that cartoonists are smart. They got the Kiegelcizer, complete with someone using it in the gym, past the censor board for a show that aired at 7:00 p.m. in CA. Never underestimate geeks with a zillion dollar budget and a marker.

rubberneck's new icons. They're brilliant, as are whitelight1's School of Mulder Torture icons.
And, while I'm trying to harrasscrankygrrl into doing this, I'm lusting after some LGM porn. It can be brief, or detailed or angsty or funny, but I've really got a hankering.
I don't know what to do with the 7 Virtues thing, whether I should bother cleaning it up and sending it anywhere or not.
To all those allergy suffers, my mother reccomends white willow bark and something that starts with a C that is yellow and you can purchase in the grocery story. She swears it will help. But this is the woman who used to make me drink cholophyll in my water, who would in fact hide this concoction in a pink plastic sports bottle thinking I wouldn't be able to tell, so you takes your chances.
