Two hours of Krav Maga yesterday, as penance for not going last week, and now everything aches. And then a two hour bellydance workshop, and I came home hot and sticky, and cranky and lounged on the couch in the oven that is our apartment. Our landlord had the place painted last year, and the genuis painters never razored the windows, and so we can't open them. We tried to razor them ourselves, but the apartment is old and the wood swells and we need a professional. So we live with the heat.

I went to a party on Friday night, and stayed up until 6 a.m. talking to M. at the party. I went knowing I was going to have to deal with an ending, and I did, and it sucked, as such things do, but I didn't lose it, outside of smoking an entire pack of cigarettes, so at least my external dignity remained in tact. Then I went home and watched the end of IP at six in the morning. I'm too old for that kind of behavior. When I was 20, and never slept, there weren't any ramifications. Now my body bitched at me all weekend.

I did no writing, although I did think about how to structure several plot points, and [livejournal.com profile] kernezelda looked at the GQvs.PK experiment and thought it had potential, so I'll finish that this week. And now I'm boring myself, so I'm going to actually do some work, at work, where I'm supposed to do such things.

Oh, I did amuse myself by purchasing a black t-shirt with a bat skeleton on it. It's holding a lollipop and a peppermint stick, and above the bat it says "Evil Needs Candy Too." This made me happier than anything else I did this weekend. The girl in the store said, "This will be great for Halloween," and I just nodded, and thought, yeah, Halloween. Snort. I wore it immediately:) This is why I will never again be able to have a real job.

I wanted to turn the parts of the SACoC drabble (version 1) into more of an explanation into how Crichton ended up in the black leather, sort of PK gear. You wanna look and point out things that don't make sense?

Thanks. I knew it was going to suck, but it was something that had to be done evenutally. And I have no one to blame but myself:)

I'll take a wander to look it over pro'lly tomorrow morning--I'm skivving off from the form letters and I'm real close to being finished so I need to be good.

Much sympathy and once again the single girl thinks maybe single girl isn't so bad after all. emotional cowardice? Whuzzat?

Exactly. Single is not so bad. It's definitely preferable to many of the alternatives. This was more the "boy who I've taken for granted for two years, finally said, fuck this, and got himself a real girlfriend" type of thing.

Good luck with the work stuff. Sounds like you're heading to the finish line!!

I think the appropriate comment at this point is "oh fuck."

It's okay. I wish LJ had a Notify function or something, though.

I have a refrigerator full of chocolate - I don't need any more candy. Ha!

The only thrills this weekend were close observation of a shirtless 20 yr old and buying wheeled luggage - you might not consider those things on the same par for excitement, but I couldn't keep the 20 yr old and I can the luggage.

There is much to be said about both these things - shirtless 20 year olds and wheeled luggage and I think the excitement comparison is apt:)

shirtless 20 year olds and wheeled luggage

I'd pick the shirtless 20 year olds. I try to pack as lightly as possible so the wheeled luggage does nothing for me--but the shirtless 20 years olds have a certain 'stockboy' cache that makes me feel like Stiffler's Mom 8 )
