In No Definitie Order of Importance

* I'm back on the fighting sleep as a disease track (meaning I go to sleep too late and wake up dazed and cranky). This is hardly new behavior. Still, I wish I had the will power to go to bed at normal hour since they still except me to come to work at the same time every morning.
* I have yet to either purchase Turbo Tax or do my taxes (obviously). My mother sort of bites her tongue with these little panicked eeps for me. The problem is that I know the worst thing that can happen is that I'll owe the IRS MORE money. If they owe me, I don't get anything extra for filling late and easing their burden.
* The gas pump today was leaking so in addition to not really getting gas, I also now smell vaguely like gasoline. It's fabulous, let me tell you.
* Krull is as bad as it deserves to be. Possibly worse than original Battlestar Galactica. I'm not entirely sure why this was a surprise.(Possibly because we saw this in the theater, my dad and I, and he was constantly ragging on my unholy love for BSG and this was so much worse!! So much. And yet I remember being sort of scared and shocked and effected by this. Of course, my dad also took me to see 2001 in the theater when I was about six, scarring me for life, so you know, his judgement? Not always so stellar). More of a surprise to M. who taped it for me and didn't remember doing so. (This is a movie that would benefit from a remake, I think. Or at least an acknowledgement of every single source it ripped stuff off of. Was this a book? A graphic novel or something first? C'mon Flist, you must know.)
* The fabulous
minervacat has posted a new story in her Valentine 'verse, pre-series, actually, about Sam at the end of S8. It is, as always, beautifully written, effortless and totally insightful and drew me into thinking about Sam in a way that the show really hasn't, and now I want to watch it again through this lens. Go read and tell her how marvelous it is!! Must Have Learned Them From A Million Stars.
And finally, as a shamless, pimptastic reminder, The Reunion Drabble Challenge is in swing. I'd say full swing, but so far we've got fabulous prompts and nary a response. I know y'all are working on Remix fics, and other things, so I'll forgive the slow start. But drop on by and leave 100 words on reunions, unexpected, delightful, bittersweet, surprising, ridiculous. You know you wanna!! It'll provide that extra push you need to finish your longer fic!! (Takes off pimp hat, and settles back down).
