Hee hee. I'd be completely up for that. Although, I have to admit that my interest in theory stems from the practice that I had to do. In order to graduate I had to do field work, but my program was structured so that we took our theory classes the year before the field methods class, then did our thesis projects the final year - or actually, that's how it worked out for me. My thesis is total post modernism within the framework of the urban Greek environment (that's where Bahktin and I became fast friends - part of my thesis is straight anthro, the other have is fictionalized accounts of real families, the self and the projection of self and all that), but my best field work was using a marxist approach to studying the ranching lifestyle within the Western United States.

Then I went to grad. school and didn't want to be a social scientist, I wanted to be a post-modern anthropologist with was totally passe. I think you could project your application, however. There have to be some related studies that you can approach from your theoretical perspective.

Damn I miss academia!!

Anyway, I'd be happy to write theory for you:) (I'm sure your advisor would be thrilled!!!) I'd love to read more about your thesis topic btw. You sound like you're studying the grownup practical version of what I was trained to do as a lowly undergrad.
