Sliding into Third
Aug. 29th, 2006 12:59 pmMy weekend with a bullet:
* I have become one of those people who asks, "Do you wanna see something gross?" with the kind of glee normally only found in three year old boys with a reptile fetish. To make it worse, the gross generally involves my feet in some way. Fortunately, my friends have learned to say no unless I really pout, and then resign themselves to seeing the grossness that my feet are currently perpetrating. This week's flaver: skin free soles, courtesy of a sadistic belly dance teacher and her workshop of torture. And also Coumadin, from which it seems I am still recovering even after almost a year.
* M. and I should not be allowed to have TiVo. We have it searching for more things to download than we could ever possibly watch.
* I went to a going away party on Sat. for a friend who, it turns out, isn't actually going away. At least not where he was supposed to go, but he's already sublet his apartment. This is really... so very typical of him that I'm trying very hard not to find it hilarious.
* I am far too addicted to Jacob's Farscape recaps on TWOP. Kids, this is what an expensive liberal education will do to you! You will start geeking out at Jungian parallels and archetypal analysis and write embarassing fan girl letters to TV show recappers as a result.
* Forget chichi cat toys, for the fall season, rolley Ottomans are a cats best friend. Rolls eyes at cats, at myself, and at the Ottomans as they go flying across the room like some twisted feline Disneyland.
* I really, really need to work on the NIP because I have been very, very bad this week.

cofax7, the mail room just sent me your "Life on Mars" CDs back. (It's a long story). I'll UPS 'em this afternoon. Sorry for the delay. This is what I get for trying to screw the man.
* I saw a fun show, "Hooray for Bollywood", this weekend featuring a slew of dancers that we know. I thought offbf and she knows why!!
