Bundled up against summer
Aug. 7th, 2006 01:11 pmMy office is freezing, far beyond any air-conditioning the summer may warrant (and this being Southern California, aside from our heat wave of a few weeks ago, summer is fairly temperate). I can barely feel my fingers. Err, grr to freezing during August.
I'm left adrift, reading-wise, after finishing The Jane Austen Book Club. I want something that catches me up that swiftly. What are the rest of you reading this summer? What's knocked your socks off?
There's not even fic to distract me. Sigh. Weirdly, my fic desires are focusing more and more on the possibilities opening in S10 of SG-1. Trust me to want fic for the fandom that's sort of slowly backing away. Grrr.
I have been OD'ing on the Tenth Doctor (watched The Christmas Invasion through Rise of The Cyberman last night). I can't remember who was commenting, but if someone could point me in that direction, I'd be grateful. I adored 9. I still think of him as "My Doctor", but these episodes are tackling entirely different issues and themes and I think I have to join with
iamsab in my giddy love for 10 and for David Tenant who is really quite marvelous in an entirely different way from Christopher Eccleston.
lizlet, you were so very right. There's no need to choose!
