Need to change my mood theme
Mar. 1st, 2005 12:34 pmStill in panic attack mode -hyperventilating, and almost hit some guy on a bicycle last night. Argh.
Sent out 10 resumes and cover letters yesterday, all of them dated Feb. 28, 2004. Yup, that's me - attention to detail. Argh, again. I'd be so very good at any and all of those jobs and I want to jump up and down yelling Pick Me!! Pick Me!! I do have an interview tomorrow with a non-profit. The pay is crappy, but there might be room for advancement. That's something to look forward to at any rate.

Also, I, unlike the TV news crews outside my house, know why the geologists are taking soil samples of the mountain. They want to know:
"how much water is being retained by the -- I assume --clay in the soil will tell you the likely hood of a
liquifaction event (big mountain sliding down in the event of a minor tremor, for example)."
This is thanks to resident expertcretkid, whom I trust far more than the TV News reporters. You'll all be proud that I did not go outside when they were filming right by our apartment and yell, "Fuck," or wave to my mom. It was tempting though! Very tempting.
Reasons I love Tom Waits:
"With her charcoal eyes and Monroe hips, she's gonna take that California trip."
The Frames are playing The Troubador in April. I would very much like to see them in a small space. I should find out about prices and start saving my pennies!!
I have nasty habit of word overuse in fic and this month's offender seems to be petulant. But damn, it's such a good word, such a nice combination of sulky and pouty and little kid unhappy.
