Awash in a sea of paper
Sep. 17th, 2003 11:27 amThere are portions of my desk that I can see, but they are few and far between. I'm editing this morning, which is giving me a headache, and adding to the paper based chaos. I stayed up way too late, distracted by the prettiness of a 23 year old boy. I should know better, about the prettiness, and the 23 year oldness. But I am weak, weak I tell you. So now I'm editing in penance.
I'm loving the friends icon meme that's going around. I'm not going to attempt to do it because I saw the explanation. There's coding involved, but it's very cool nonetheless. All of those gorgeous, clever icons.

kixxa. I loooove Bender. Top 10 List of Word Bender most frequently says, and I believe "Pimpmobile" is number 6. Ass of course is number 1!
I'm telling you Rygel, Mr. Tiny Shiny Hiney, and Bender, Mr. Bite My Shiny Metal Ass, deserve to be together!
My mother used to have this giant tealy/ turquoisey Cadillac that I called the pimpmobile. She never appreciated it, my harrasment, not the car. She loved the car after years of us having the worlds crappiest compact sedans, and a Pinto at one point. Oy, the Pinto:) It was purchased at the behest of her boyfriend who firmly believes that everyone should own a car that burns fossil fuels at an alarming rate. My disdain for the car was never well hidden:) They also own an old Bronco, a Dodge Charger and a boat sized Buick. Frankly, it's embarrasing that their garage has been the cause of many of this country's recent military actions. Again, my humor is rarely appreciated by my Mom's boyfriend. He's still a decent guy, all things told.
I have things to say about John Quixote and I Shrink, and other things to say about motherhood, and it's portrayal in fandom and in certain shows. Unfotrunately, the editing really does call, so perhaps that will be this afternoons project.
