Buried alive and earwigs in the ear (also from Star Trek, though I have yet to see TWoK in its entirety), but I really, really hate mis-used food. I don't mind blood or body parts when they are real, but I can't stand facsimiles. We dug up a "body" once that used cottage cheese to simulate adipocere...and I haven't been able to eat it since. Fake blood, I gagged all through the exercise. Pieces of liver? Nothing easier. The credits for Dexter? I can't even listen to them.
You may have trouble turning that one into performance art. :)
