So, the Skirball Cultural Center in LA is hosting a travel Dylan exhibit: Dylan's American Journey 1956-1966.
This makes me giddy on a number of levels, but an added strange bonus is that it is organized by the Experience Music Project/Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. When I passed this info on to a friend, he asked me what the connection was. If Quinn the Eskimo had a laser gun?
After I stopped giggling at the totally awesome vision of eskimos with space lasers, I started to think about translating characters (from song and story) to space.
So, how would you do it, and who would you elect to transform from earth bound mortal to sci fi star?
Huck Finn floating down the Andromeda quadrant with a four-legged alien and a beat up space pod? (Not that I'm any great fan of Huck Finn, but it's a thought?)
And if we play the zombify the opening line quote, but with space, how would that play out? "It was the best of the space time continuum, it was the worst of the space time continuum?"
