All clear around here

Not much to report. I love the writing meme, seeing these tiny moments from work of so many fabulous writers, knowing how much surrounds those glimpses, how exciting it is to know those words are out there.

The novel progresses... slowly. I'm far more in the mood to write the ghost story, so much more in the mood that I'm tempted to post the beginning, but I think I've worn out my WIP welcome, so maybe I should hold it close until it's finished.

Trying to convert my boss to The Bends. He comes over to my desk and paws through my stack of CD's, searching for something new. I've lent him all of the mixes that infinitemonkeys made, which he seemed to enjoy, as well as some of my own mixes (the one's without the soundbytes:)

Yesterday was one of those sort of low slung greyish days. Nothing wrong so much as not enough right. Feeling silent, and surrounded and alone.

My Thursday night group was torn - angry, and contentious and defeatist. But there were glimmers there as well, moments of okay, and moments of understanding, and moments of what do we do next. I find that comforting, if exhausting.

This week's farscapefriday challenge is "If Wishes Were Horses..." and I'll make a double offer here, where it's more reasonable to be completely self-serving.

i'm appreciating drabbles more and more. a piece of a mosaic chinking into place with everyone's placed together to create this incredible larger image of the characters and the ideas.

{{hugs}} you are not alone. last night in line at the supermarket the woman next to me pointed out kerry on the cover of the rolling stone. and immediately started talking about how sad she was and how she was trying to grasp onto hope. we laughed about how we *knew* we were both on the same page about the situation. so we are not alone. and a lot of people are gathering up their energy to keep on keeping on. *g*
