I want to say that this is totally unfair, but I think it's really just payback. I don't want to read the next chapter, because if I stop now, everyone's still alive and could possibly escape relatively intact.

But I have to read the next chapter, for the same reason I haven't been able to stop clicking on the next one. Oh yes, if I stay away from the computer entirely I can hold out, but once I cave and come up to check my email it's the same thing as signing on for another seven or eight chapters! I had to be dragged to bed last night. It's quarter to two in the afternoon and I still haven't had breakfast yet.

One more chapter. And I think I'm going to be crying in my Cheerios.
